Rick and his wife were gracious hosts. He went out of his way to accommodate us with ground floor rooms even though they were sold out. Everything was clean and comfortable. Aunt Vida, Chip and Freddy Dog had a wonderful time. Back to Texas until next time. We will be back.
Had a great stay here while visiting family! Bed and linens were clean. Shower water pressure was amazing and just what I needed! Can’t beat the price!
I don't know why some have left a bad review about this hotel. For the price especially, you cannot beat it! The receptionist was extremely nice. They have a pool it was very clean. The room was very spacious with a desk and a little table. Overall experience was one of the best I have had, literally. Yes it might be small and it may not be a five-star hotel but it was definitely five stars in my opinion. I travel for work and I stay in at least one or two Airbnb/h otels a week. Friendliness, cleanliness, and attention to detail go quite a long ways! You cannot be a nice comfortable quiet place to sleep, especially at this price!!
I wish I could do it again! I was able to get in touch with a loved one as well as take a shower and get a good night's rest.
We live in Houston and we were without power for about a week from the Hurricane. We planned on staying local but all of the hotels were sold out and raised the cost of rooms to outrageous prices. We started looking in Lake Charles and since it was last minute many rooms were sold out. We were able to book this hotel online and arrive that night. From the very beginning the hotel management were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms over all were very basic but fitting for a motel. If there was anything broken all we needed to do was ask the front desk and they provided a replacement. The location was perfect and close to everything you could want or need during your stay. I cannot say enough great things about the husband and wife that run this location. They checked on us daily, kept checking to see if we had power back on at the house and asking if we needed anything while we were there. We did not use the pool but it looked cleaned and we saw kids out there playing during the day. There was an ice machine and washer and dryer onsite; which was nice with no power at our house. Overall, I felt very welcome and they went out of their way to make a bad situation for us a lot easier to deal with.
Management is very nice and friendly. The location is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. The building is old but the rooms are updated and clean. We didn't wake up with our backs hurting. We didn't have any complaints. Fresh coffee in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.
Desk clerk was exceptional, friendly and helpful. She bent backwards to help me with everything I needed. Loved the room, it was clean, and we could smoke in it, so if you’re a smoker, you know that when at a hotel you have to go outside to smoke. Loved the pool area, it was kept clean, and the water was clear blue. We will be going back there again.
